Updating the documentation process to manage their waste

If you generate and manage waste on a regular basis, you should be aware of the following regulations for the management and removal of waste that came into force on 7 May.

According to Royal Decree 180/2015, which regulates the movement of waste within the territory of the State, the autonomous communities must establish an appropriate system of monitoring and control of waste movements carried out exclusively within their territory.

In Catalonia there is already a control regime established by Decree 93/1999, but taking into account that the provisions of RD 180/2015 are mandatory, the following documentation must be processed for the movement of waste within Catalonia. In this way, the coherence and harmonisation of both regulations in force in Catalonia will be maintained.

The documentation that must be processed to manage your waste is:
The treatment contract
A waste treatment contract must be formalised before any removal is carried out.

This contract must contain: the specifications of the waste, the conditions of the shipment, the treatment and the obligations of the parties, in case of incidents (art.5 RD 180/2015).

Acceptance Form (FA)
The Acceptance Form is now valid for 3 years, although the forms already opened will remain valid until they expire.

An Acceptance Form must be opened for the removal of:

Hazardous waste
Wastes destined for disposal operations
Mixed household wastes (LER 200301) destined for recovery (R1/V61)
Non-hazardous wastes destined for recovery operations requiring recovery according to D93/1999
Transport Sheets: Tracking Form (FS), Itinerant Tracking Form (FI)
The Tracking Sheets or Itinerant Tracking Sheets will be required for removals of:

all wastes requiring an Acceptance Form
Non-hazardous waste destined for recovery operations as stipulated in D93/1999.
For non-hazardous waste destined for recovery operations that do not require Tracking Sheets or Itinerant Tracking Sheets, they must be accompanied by a delivery note, invoice or document that includes the information in Annex I of RD 180/2015.

Justification of Receipt of Waste (JRR)
The Waste Receipt Certificate will only be used for the reception of non-hazardous waste destined for recovery operations (when required by D93/1999) and will always be accompanied by a delivery note, invoice or equivalent document containing the information indicated in Annex I of RD 180/2015.
