Law 26/2007 of October 23, environmental responsibility, is to regulate the responsibility of any company, to prevent, avoid and repair environmental damage.
For activities listed in Annex III it lays down obligations, most notably the development of an environmental risk analysis, which aims to define the resulting economic value of the potential damage that may be caused to the environment.
Project content
The analysis of environmental risks we do it in three phases:
Phase 1: Identification and proposing corrective measures
- Identifying initiating events of accidents
- Identification of hazards that may cause or trigger an initiating event
- Determination of the events of consequences
- Preparation of a report with the proposal to implement corrective measures in order to reduce the probability of an environmental accident occurs or reduce its consequences
Phase 2: Risk Quantification
- Once the initiating events identified in phase 1 must be assigned a probability of occurrence
- Assessment of the magnitude of the events of consequences identified in phase 1 and its impact on the physical environment and biotic environment
- Grounds Scenario Definition: Ratio of each initiating event with causal events and their consequences events
- For each scenario the risk is causal estimate considering the probability of an accident happens and evaluating the severity of the consequences
Phase 3: Advice on verification and financial guarantee contracts
- Assistance verification process Analysis of environmental risks
- Advice in recruiting financial guarantee if it is applicable
